The Watcher

So much of the landscape in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where artist, Kathryn Rutherford, operates Heirloom Art Studio consists of rocky ledges and organic material that seems to evolve out of the recesses and shadows making one wonder just exactly what lies in the hidden depths of the natural surroundings.

As these children frolick and play in the river "The Watcher" looks on in smirking amusement...or is it the young girl doing the watching as she seems to be the only one who notices that all is not normal in the natural surroundings.
