Trapped

What makes us trapped? Is it our love, life, desires, or our inability to move from one situation to another?

"Trapped" allows the viewer to decide for themselves as the subject of this painting attempts to escape the confines of her partially locked porthole to reach the open freedom of the foreground where Morning Glory flowers and greenery grow abundantly.

Symbolically, water streams down to cleanse our subject and drain away in torrents that lead to the calming and peaceful pond where all is well.
