Kathryn Rutherford offers education, instruction, and consultation in Fine Art, Digital Art, Photographic Art, and lectures on Care and Identification of Family History Collections. Drawing, Painting, and Portraiture are just a few of the more popular areas of interest as well as teaching Fine Art Principals to photographers seeking to improve the artistic quality of the photographic images they produce.

• All instruction is for students 18 years of age and up.
• Classes must be prepaid in full prior to start date.
• Cost of classes are for instruction ONLY.
• Students must bring their own supplies (suggested suppliers offered).

GENEALOGISTS...

Preserve your collections by attending specialty classes or lectures that are offered to historical and genealogical groups on the subject of the care and identification of photographs and family history collections, scanning, retouching, and preserving digital photographic files.

FINE ART CLASSES at the Heirloom Art Studio

• Indoor classes are limited to 8 or 10 students due to available space, which means students get much more personalized attention.
• Fine Art Classes are those most often requested and are posted on the class list available for download below.
• 1/2 Day Class (3 hours).....$50.00 per student
• 1 Day Class (7 hours of Instruction with 1 hour lunch break--lunch not included)........$150.00 per student

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Private instruction is geared to the individual needs of the student. He/she determines what subjects and media they would like to be taught. Private instruction can also be time spent on critique and completion of any project on which the student is currently working but requires advice to finish.

Up to five students may take private instruction together providing the subject matter taught during the session is the same to all students or each student is there to seek advice on completing an individual work of art. NOTE: There are no discounts if students take private instruction together.

• $50.00 per hour per student
• $125.00 per block (3 hours)
• $250.00 per 2 blocks (6 hours/one day)
• $450.00 per 4 blocks (12 hours/two days)
• $850.00 per 8 blocks (24 hours/four days)

LONG DISTANCE LEARNING

Can't travel to take a course but need access to art classes? With the advent of technology, it is now possible to offer consultation and education via online instruction. Any student wishing to have their fine art critiqued, sees advice, or would like to learn long distance should CONTACT Kathryn Rutherford at the Heirloom Art Studio to discuss their needs.

GROUP WORKSHOPS

Group workshops are hands-on, instructional classes with 5 to 20 students taught at any facility other than Heirloom Art Studio. Any group may contract to host a workshop at their location. CONTACT Kathryn Rutherford at the Heirloom Art Studio to discuss the needs of your group.

REFUND POLICY

• If the instructor cancels a class, a full refund will be issued.
• If student cancels more than three weeks prior to the starting date of class a full refund is issued less a $20 processing fee.
• If student cancels less than three weeks prior to the start date of class there is a 50% refund less a $20 processing fee.

No refund will be issued if student cancels one week or less prior to start date of class.
